About Michelle Welles

Michelle Welles Michelle (Micky) credits her two favorite art teachers, Sr. Eileen from East Catholic High School and Sr. Claire Pelletier from Annhurst College, with giving her the fundamentals she uses every time she picks up a paintbrush or pen.

While raising three children, Micky enjoyed working as a part time technical illustrator for an environmental consulting firm. In 2010 she decided to follow her dream of working as a full-time artist.

She has exhibited in several solos shows. She has participated in many group shows, which include shows at gallery128 in New York City, Arts of Tolland juried shows, The Slater Museum Annual juried shows, Lyme Art Association, Windham Regional Arts Council member shows and groups shows (four per year), Glastonbury Arts member shows and Tolland County Arts member shows.

She is currently a board member of Windham Regional Arts Council, and a member of The Lyme Art Association, Coventry Arts Guild and the Academic Artists Association.
