This is the amazing giant Oak on Horse Barn Hill on the campus of The University of Connecticut. This hillside is also famous for winter sledding down the steep hills on the right, which are out of view. Many Connecticut natives will risk driving in a snow storm to be first to sled down these amazing hills. UConn is a truly beautiful campus.
Michelle (Micky) Welles is, for the most part, a self taught artist, although she credits her two favorite art teachers, Sr. Eileen and Sr. Claire Pelletier with giving her the basic fundamentals of design, that are used every time she picks up a pencil or pen. She started her art career working as a technical illustrator for an environmental consulting firm. After the company relocated across the state, she worked in banking and as an administrative assistant. She started pursuing her art career full time in 2010. At this time, pen and ink drawings and watercolors, especially pet portraits and house portraits are in big demand. Although she has been known to create a few abstract pieces, Micky is primarily a representational artist....
